SUSTAINABLE PROGRAMS
Keeping our environment safe is essential to us. From being one of the largest recyclers of carpet pads in the country to providing mindfully sourced products to clients, we are committed to supporting our planet for future generations.
We are the first independent flooring retailer to recover more than 1.5 million pounds of carpet as part of the Mohawk’s ReCover program. Since the initiative’s launch in August 2024. This milestone is the equivalent to covering over 315,000 square yards, the weight of 1.7 billion plastic straws, the trash generated by more than 4,300 typical U.S. households in one month, or 3.1 million kWh of energy—enough to power 223 U.S. homes for an entire year.*
Each week, carpet material is given a second life as an alternative fuel for cement production, while other components are recycled as an input for injection-molded car parts.
